Based in 2 Astor Place NYC, HMI provides community, basic needs, health, education, and career services to thousands of youth every year. They believe that all LGTBQ+ youth deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential. Founded in 1979, HMI is the oldest of any such organization in the US. They are also the host agency for the groundbreaking Harvey Milk High Schoolbased in the same building on Astor Place.
