Gwendolyn Jurney opened Seize sur Vingt on Elizabeth Street in 1998. They offered a modest selection of shirting and suiting in a slim cut which was something completely unheard of at the time. Originally an interior designer, Gwen has always had her finger on the pulse when it comes to art and design. Gwen is instrumental in keeping the Groupe concept afloat by managing the companies day-to-day as well as managing production across all brands, making sure every delivery consists of only well made quality garments.
James Jurney opened the original Seize sur Vingt in 1998 and shortly after the first iteration of Groupe in 2000. James has always been a driving force in forward thinking mens fashion. Before Seize sur Vingt, James worked at JP Morgan and noticed how outdated his colleagues looked. Using this as his motivation, James pioneered the slim suit and shirt which is now the standard across the world. James currently manages all factory and designer relations. He drives the creative direction for the incubator and curates the GROUPE umbrella as he sees fit.
